Notes:

"This is a wild, high-swinging record, prompted by the tremendous success of the Fletcher Henderson All Stars, at the Great South Bay Festival on Long Island in 1957. The name of the band must be taken literally; everyone of these musicians is a star in his own right. Most of them have played under "Smack" Henderson who, ever since the Roaring Twenties when he went trouping with Ethel Waters, displayed a unique gift to find and develop talent. Coleman Hawkins, Benny Carter, Louis Armstrong are among the many who were inspired by his leadership. Benny Goodman owes much to Henderson's example and the the arrangements he wrote for him."

Tracks A1, B3 and B4 recorded November 1957. Tracks A4 and B1 recorded 29 November 1957. Tracks A2, A3 and B2 recorded 2 December 1957; all at RCA Studio A, NYC.
